Getting started
How do I join the beta?
Join the waitlist on the FitGo homepage. Invitations are sent in batches as capacity opens up. You'll receive an email with your download link when your spot is ready.
Which devices does FitGo support?
FitGo requires an iPhone running iOS 18 or later. The Apple Watch companion app supports watchOS 11+ on Series 6 and later. Garmin integration is available for Forerunner 165 and 165M.
How do I sign in?
FitGo supports Sign in with Apple (recommended) and email/password. Sign in with Apple is faster and does not require a separate password.
Apple Watch
My Apple Watch isn't syncing with the app.
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and that the FitGo Watch app is open. Open a workout in the iPhone app first — the Watch app connects automatically when a session starts. If the issue persists, force-quit both apps and reopen the iPhone app.
Heart-rate zones aren't showing on the Watch.
Heart-rate data requires HealthKit permission. Go to iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → FitGo and enable Heart Rate read access. Then restart a workout.
Which Watch controls are available during a workout?
From your Apple Watch you can validate the current set, skip rest, add or remove 30 seconds from the rest timer, and end the workout. All actions sync instantly to the iPhone app.
AI Coach (ALEX)
What can ALEX do?
ALEX knows your full training history, body weight trend, daily check-ins, and fitness goals. He can suggest set progressions, adapt your program after a hard week, generate a complete training plan, flag recovery issues, and send you a morning brief with the day's recommended session.
My question limit says I've reached the daily cap.
The free tier includes 5 coach messages per day. Upgrade to FitGo Premium for unlimited coaching conversations.
Can I delete my coaching data?
Yes. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete coach data. This permanently removes all conversations, daily check-ins, and AI-generated insights. Your workouts and routines are not affected.
Does ALEX replace a doctor or physiotherapist?
No. ALEX provides training guidance and adaptation support based on your logged data. He does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency care. Always consult a qualified professional for injuries or health concerns.
Purchases & Premium
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the Shop tab and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the screen. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
A routine I bought isn't showing up.
Pull down to refresh the Shop tab. If the routine still doesn't appear, tap Restore Purchases. If the issue continues, email us with your Apple order number.
How do I become a creator and sell routines?
Go to Profile → Become a Creator to start the creator onboarding. Once approved, you can upload routines and set a price for other FitGo users to purchase.
Can I get a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple. Request a refund directly at reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple ID.
Data & Privacy
Where is my data stored?
Workouts and routines are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and optionally synced to Supabase (EU region) for cross-device restore. Coaching conversations are stored in Supabase and transmitted to Anthropic (Claude AI) only via a secure server-side proxy.
Can I export or delete my account?
To request a full data export or account deletion, email hello@fitgo.app with the subject 'Account Deletion'. Deletion is permanent and processed within 30 days. For coaching data only, use Profile → Settings → Delete coach data.
Does FitGo sell my health data?
No. FitGo never sells or monetises your personal or health data. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Garmin
How does Garmin integration work?
Install the FitGo Connect IQ app on your Garmin Forerunner 165 from the Connect IQ Store. Once installed, open a workout in FitGo on iPhone — the Garmin app receives the session and lets you validate sets, skip rest, and end the workout from your wrist.
My Garmin device model isn't listed.
The Connect IQ app currently supports Forerunner 165 and 165M. Support for additional models is planned. Email us your device model to help us prioritise.
